Get Involved

We are committed to transforming the lives of those residents we support and believe in putting the needs of our residents at the heart of everything we do.

What is Resident Involvement and Community Development?

Resident Involvement

The participation of Residents before, during and after any activity that affects them, their household or the community in which they live - through working together to improve the services that customers receive’.

Community Development

Is a way of working that aims to build communities based on justice, equality and mutual respect.  It starts from the principle that within any community there is a wealth of knowledge and experience which, if used in creative ways, can be channelled into collective action to achieve the communities' desired goals (Community Development Exchange).

Why do we do it?

The aims and purposes of Resident Involvement and Community Development and the outcomes to be achieved. Intended outcomes:

  • Help build the confidence, knowledge and skills of Residents
