You can apply for housing by completing an application form which you can request by calling our Customer Service Team on 0800 183 5757 or 01745 536800. Before sending the form out, our Customer Service Advisors will ask you a few questions so they can tell you if we have any suitable properties in the areas you are looking for. They will also be able to give you an idea of how long you will have to wait for a suitable property so that you can decide whether or not you want to register.
Make sure you answer all the questions on the form because if we don’t have enough information your form will be returned to you and you will not be placed on the waiting list. If you have difficulty completing the form, please contact the Customer Service Team and our Advisors will be happy to help.
You will need to supply evidence to support your application. The evidence we need is outlined on pages 10 to 15 in the Guide to Applicants for Rented Accommodation.
Your application will be placed in one of four priority bands depending on your housing need in date order. Details of the banding scheme are outlined in the Guide to Applicants for Rented Accommodation.
We will write to you to let you know which band your application has been placed and from which date.
We will write to you at least once a year to check that you want to stay on the waiting list. It is important that you reply to that letter within the time stated. If we do not receive a reply your application will be removed from the waiting list.
As Clwyd Alyn has to offer at least half of all vacancies to people who are nominated to us by the Local Authority we recommend that you also make an application to the relevant Local Authority so that they can nominate you to us if they think this is appropriate.
