Who can apply for Housing?
If you are aged 16 or over you can apply for housing with us, however if you are offered a home before your 18th birthday you will need to provide details of a suitable rent guarantor.
If you are already a resident of ours and have had your tenancy for at least 1 year you may be able to apply for a transfer to another property. In exceptional circumstances residents who have not held their tenancy for 1 year may be able to apply for a transfer with the approval of the Director of Housing Services.
Existing residents may also be able to move by exchanging their homes with another resident using the national mutual exchange service. If you would like a mutual exchange visit the Home Swapper website for more information: www.homeswapper.co.uk

- Applicants who have been involved in significant instances of anti-social behaviour will not be accepted onto the waiting list unless they are able to prove that they have changed their behaviour for the better for at least 12 months.
- Applicants who have left any housing association or council property owing money for rent or re-chargeable repairs may not be accepted onto the list unless they have kept to an agreed re-payment plan for at least 6 months and the debt outstanding is not too high.
