Quality Housing with friendly support

Preswylfa is a 10 bed Project in the centre of Wrexham. It houses up to 6 single homeless men and women who are 16 and over. Preswylfa also accommodates up to 4 single parents/pregnant women (with infants up to the age of 2).

Preswylfa provides high quality single room accommodation as well as communal facilities such as a Resident lounge, kitchen, dining room and garden. We provide staff support available from 9am - 10pm in safe and secure premises and the opportunity to break free from a homeless lifestyle.


How do we help you?

The type of support provided will vary according to your specific needs. Here are some examples of the types of support we provide:

• Staff support, 365 days of the year

• Dedicated Support Worker

• Welfare Benefits advice

• Money management

• Advice on healthcare, e.g. Doctor, Dentist

• Drug and Alcohol advice and referral

• Structured move on plan and portfolio

• Access to employment and training

• Access to work experience and work placement opportunities via our social enterprise

• Range of activities to help you get involved and learn new life skills.


Assessing your Support Needs

On your first visit to Preswylfa, we will meet with you to assess your needs and risk. This is so we can find out if we can meet all your needs. Occasionally, we will not be able to accommodate some people, if this is the case we will explain our reasons and will do our best to help you find more suitable accommodation.

Throughout your stay at Preswylfa our staff will help you to work through an Individual Support Plan, which will help you achieve your goals and aspirations.

You can apply to live at Preswylfa by contacting Wrexham County Borough Council’s Homeless and Housing Options Department on 01978 298813 and they will make a referral on your behalf.
