From food to fuel the cost of living is increasing considerably and it’s more important now than ever to keep a close eye on your money to ensure there is enough to pay bills and other essentials. In this section you will find useful advice on how to manage money and tips on how to budget.

The Money Advice Service helps people manage their money. This is done through their own free impartial advice service. Here are some advice, tips and tools to help you get your finances under control and make your money go further.

Credit Union

Credit unions are financial co-operatives owned and managed by the members who use them. They offer a convenient way to save and the opportunity to access low cost loans and a range of other benefits. For more information visit the Credit Union website.

Energy Advice

Citizen’s Advice have been working on a campaign named Energy Best Deal and offer advice on how much money you can save by switching providers. For more information on finding the best deals, download their brochure.

Debt Advice

Being in debt is extremely stressful and you may find yourself completely overwhelmed when trying to deal with debt.  However don’t panic, there are many ways to deal with debt and you can find more information and advice to help you take control. Factsheets for the following can be found here
