New homes set to be built in popular Anglesey village
ClwydAlyn has recently started preconstruction works at Valley Mill/Mart, Anglesey that will provide high quality affordable housing in an area where there has been an identified shortfall.
The new development, which is led by ClwydAlyn, will feature 54 affordable homes, giving the people of Anglesey access to a good home that they can heat properly, afford the food they need to stay healthy and live in a community where they can achieve their aspirations.
The site will compromise of two, three and four bedroom homes as well as one bedroom apartments that will be developed by Bala based building firm, Williams Homes.
The scheme will offer energy efficient and carbon friendly homes, that will include a range of sustainable technologies. Built with high performing materials which have been locally sourced, such as the Welsh timber manufactured in Bala, as well as the installation of air source heat pumps instead of traditional heating and hot water systems, offering residents a greener way of living that could save money in the long run as well as help with our efforts to tackle climate change.
Craig Sparrow, Executive Director of Development at ClwydAlyn, said:
"We’re so happy to see works start at the Valley Mill / Mart site, which will see the site be developed into 54 high quality new homes, addressing a key need for affordable housing for those that that live and work in the area and are on the ‘Single Access Route to Housing’ or Tai Teg register.
"Our developer Williams Homes are specialists in the construction industry, and we’ve worked with them on a number of our schemes, helping us to create vibrant new communities as well as boosting local employment opportunities. This scheme will be no different and will generate £11,000,000 investment into the local area.”
The design and the high standard of the build will ensure that the homes are not only stylish and comfortable but also fit for the future.
Williams Homes will be delivering construction works at the site, utilising their extensive expertise in the construction of innovative low carbon, high quality timber frame homes.

This scheme is part of ClwydAlyn's development programme to deliver further 1500 new homes in North Wales by 2025 at an investment of £250m bringing the total number of homes in management to over 7,500.
