New Homes in Mynydd Isa Ready for Residents

Excited residents have begun to move into Neuadd Maldwyn in Welshpool; an independent living scheme, for over 60s.
Residents were welcomed into their new homes at Maes Deudraeth in Penrhyndeudraeth last week. The properties, which include 41 timber-framed, energy-efficient houses and apartments, form part of the Gwynedd Affordable Housing Development Programme and have been developed by ClwydAlyn and Grŵp Cynefin.
Welshpool’s brand-new independent living scheme for over 60s, Neuadd Maldwyn, is officially open, and new jobs have been created for eight staff at the venue.
The first residents have begun to move into their new homes, at ClwydAlyn’s Northern Gateway development in Deeside. The site will see 100 affordable, energy-efficient, new homes created in the area.
Deputy First Minister, Huw Irranca-Davies was welcomed to a development of new homes at Maes Deudraeth in Penrhyndeudraeth last week. The official visit to the properties in Penrhyndeudraeth marked the launch of Welsh Government’s Timber Industrial Strategy.
Residents who are set to move into a new independent living development in Welshpool, shared afternoon tea this week. The event offered members of the new community the opportunity to meet neighbours, discuss excitement about moving into a new home and pose any questions they had.
