Quality Housing with friendly support

Hafan is an 11 bed Project and 1 emergency accommodation bed in Wrexham and is for single homeless males and females who are aged between 16 to 25. Hafan provides high quality single room accommodation as well as communal facilities such as a Resident lounge, kitchen, dining room and access to a computer room and garden. We provide 24 hour staff support in safe and secure premises and the opportunity to break free from a homeless lifestyle.

 

How do we help you?

The type of support provided will vary according to your specific needs. Here are some examples of the types of support we provide:

• 24 hour support, 365 days of the year

• Dedicated Support Worker

• Welfare Benefits advice

• Money management

• Advice on healthcare, e.g. Doctor, Dentist

• Drug and Alcohol advice and referral

• Structured move on plan and portfolio

• Access to employment and training

• Access to work experience and work placement opportunities via our social enterprise

• Range of activities to help you get involved and learn new life skills.

 

Assessing your Support Needs

On your first visit to Hafan, we will meet with you to assess your needs and risk. This is so we can find out if we can meet all your needs. Occasionally, we will not be able to accommodate some people, if this is the case we will explain our reasons and will do our best to help you find more suitable accommodation.

Throughout your stay at Hafan our staff will help you to work through an Individual Support Plan, which will help you achieve your goals and aspirations.

 

To apply to live at Hafan If you wish to apply to live at Hafan you should contact Wrexham County Borough Council’s Homeless and Housing Options Department on 01978 298813 and make an appointment to see if you fit the criteria for referral.
