ClwydAlyn is much more than a social housing provider.
We provide services to the most vulnerable people in North Wales. The services we provide include homeless shelters, accommodation for people at risk of domestic violence, people who need mental health support, supported living for people struggling with addiction, extra care schemes for older people with low-level health needs and care homes for those that need greater support.
We also have a significant impact on the wider community in North Wales through our support with initiatives such as WellFed, a local food production company, We Mind The Gap, a scheme that gives disadvantaged women the opportunity to get training and jobs, and our use of local materials to build super low carbon homes.
Referrals for the schemes would be through local authority.
These schemes are known as Leasehold Schemes for the Elderly (LSE).
Designed for those who would not otherwise be able to afford to buy a property.
Currently, to be eligible to join the affordable housing register, household income must be between £16,000 and £60,000.
We believe that everyone in need has the right to be housed, supported, given an opportunity to develop their skills and be treated fairly.
We can offer information, support and a safe place to stay for women and children and we have a drop-in service based in Flint, Flintshire.
