As part of Volunteers Week, we wanted to shine a light on the great volunteering work ClwydAlyn staff have been doing over the last 12 months.

The ‘Green Team’, a group of ambitious staff who are keen to help tackle climate change, decided to start a campaign where they encouraged staff to clean up around their local areas as part of their goal to raise awareness around the effects of climate change.

As part of this challenge staff took on the task to clean up the waterways and beaches, collecting bags full of rubbish of unwanted items, with the most random item being a Christmas tree.

“We’re lucky here in North Wales to be blessed with some great beaches as well as stunning countryside, and we all have a duty to look after nature. We also have some great staff here at ClwydAlyn, who over the years have committed their time to volunteer and clean up our communities, arranging their own clean up events, with us providing them with tools and rubbish bags.

“Volunteers Week give us a chance to recognise the fantastic contribution ClwydAlyn Staff have made to our communities here in North Wales and say thank you to each and every one who took part in one of our clean up events.”
