ClwydAlyn’s Capital Works Officer, Angharad Kellett, was recently crowned ‘Apprentice of the Year in Administration and Customer Service’ at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, North Wales Work-Based Learning Awards Ceremony.
Angharad finished her apprenticeship with Grŵp Llandrillo Menai and joined ClwydAlyn upon successful completion. She chose to further her career within housing and her journey and achievements were recently highlighted in a video released by Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, in which Angharad shares how the apprenticeship provided a strong foundation and paved the way for her to pursue a career in the social housing sector.
Since joining ClwydAlyn, Angharad has been an excellent addition to the Property Team. Her skillset has proved valuable to ClwydAlyn’s approach to data management, resident engagement, and communication.
Angharad, who studied for a Business Administration Level 4 qualification, was proud to be recognised as Apprentice of the Year, Business Administration, Retail and Customer Service.
“It's also great to be able to make money whilst you're learning because if you're in school, you don't do that.
“An apprenticeship was great for me and through doing my apprenticeship I learned new skills; it was great to be able to learn at my own pace and do my own work.
“I'd recommend an apprenticeship because I think it's a great way of learning, especially if you don't like being in the education sector. It's a great alternative to school or college.”
