Residents of a Colwyn Bay care home were treated to a preview performance of Rydal Penrhos’ end of term show last week.
Nine elderly residents and two staff members from Merton Place care home, were delighted to be invited to watch Forever Treasure Island at Rydal Penrhos School.
The Prep School’s end of term show, which incorporated an amusing script and some lovely songs, is usually reserved for friends and family of the pupils. This year, as a special treat, the school invited the Merton Place residents along to preview the full dress rehearsal.
As the final run through, before the show was performed for parents, everything was “spot on” according to Valerie Smith, Activities Coordinator from Merton Place care home.
The visit was the latest in a longstanding series of events between Merton Place and Rydal Penrhos School, which focus on intergenerational activities.
