Football Fever is Here. The community fundraising committee at St Asaph-based social homes provider ClwydAlyn is organising a 6-a-side football tournament, to raise money for St Kentigern Hospice.
If you enjoy a kick-about, having fun and raising money for charity too – then gather your team, dust down your boots, and sign up for an exciting football tournament being organised by ClwydAlyn’s Sports and Social Committee (SAS)!
When: Sunday 27th July
Time: 10am – 2pm
Where: St Asaph Leisure Centre
Why? To have fun, get some exercise and raise £££s for a very worthy charity, St Kentigern Hospice!
Like the idea of getting involved? ClwydAlyn’s SAS is looking for 18 six-a-side teams, to take part in the tournament.
The tournament will be well-run via the Tournify Tournament Planner and organised by Martin Halewood, a colleague at ClwydAlyn.
The Details:
- Be ready to have a lot of fun!
- There will be a maximum of eight players per team (this includes two subs) and all players must be at least 16 years old
- Fixtures will start at 10am promptly on 27th July, and all teams must arrive at 9.30am to be ready for kick off!
- Trained first-aiders will be on site throughout the tournament
- Refreshments in the form of water and soft drinks will be available for a small donation to St Kentigern Hospice
- Entry costs £80 per team. The strict limit of 18 team spots in the tournament means that you need to sign up now, to make sure you don’t miss out!

Did you know that it costs over £9,000 per day to keep the facilities running at St Kentigern Hospice? Throughout 2025, ClwydAlyn’s SAS committee is focusing on raising funds and awareness of St Kentigern Hospice, and has named the hospice, its ‘Charity of the Year’.
