Stakeholders including Marj Cooper, Housing Strategy Manger at Flintshire County Council visited ClwydAlyn’s Northern Gateway development in Deeside last week. The visit was organised to celebrate the successful completion of 100 affordable, energy-efficient, new homes for local families.
Social homes provider, ClwydAlyn invited local stakeholders to take a look around its Northern Gateway development at Garden City in Deeside.
Built by Castle Green Partnerships and developed with Flintshire County Council and Welsh Government; the large site of new properties comprises two, three and four bedroomed homes as well as two bedroomed bungalows and one and two bedroomed apartments.
Local families have been overjoyed to move into the modern, energy efficient properties, which have been able to save them money on monthly utility bills.
“One hundred homes have been created for residents who needed safe, comfortable and affordable places to live in Flintshire. At the heart of what we do at ClwydAlyn is provision of the kind of homes which allow our residents to make fresh starts and improve their living conditions.
“We’ve heard some moving stories from the new residents in these homes. It’s wonderful to demonstrate to our stakeholders the difference that these homes have made to 100 local families.”
