ClwydAlyn has confirmed the appointment of Cris McGuinness as its new Chair of the Board as it welcomes a further four new members.

Cris officially took up the role at the social landlord’s September AGM, taking over from Stephen Porter who held the role for seven years and was a board member for eight.

Cris is currently Chief Financial Officer at Riverside and brings with her many years of senior housing experience. A KPMG trained Chartered Accountant, she has previously held positions at The Guinness Partnership, North Herefordshire Homes and Adactus Housing Group.

ClwydAlyn, which has more than 6300 homes across North Wales, also welcomed Sally Thomas, Bethan Smith, Tania Silva and Brian Strefford to its Board. They will each join specialist committees in People, Assurance and Property.

“It is a privilege to step into the role of Chair at ClwydAlyn, particularly with its active focus on beating poverty. Tackling poverty as well as embedding diversity and inclusion are issues that are close to my heart. I’d like to thank the team for such a warm welcome and I am looking forward to supporting ClwydAlyn and its communities.”
