Why work for a Housing Association like ClwydAlyn?

How much do you know about social housing? If your answer is “very little” then don’t worry. If you’re passionate about helping people, beating poverty and making a difference, then that’s what matters.

We’re always on a look out for kind, capable and enthusiastic people to help us beat poverty.

What’s social housing?

Social housing provides people with low income a safe, warm and affordable home. The property is owned and managed by a local authority, council or housing association like us.

At ClwydAlyn, we’re a team united to provide excellent quality homes and communities to those most in need. We manage over 6,300 homes across North Wales from affordable homes, specialist care facilities, supported living schemes and independent living schemes.

What makes us different?

We’re on a mission to tackle poverty and make life in Wales better for the people living in our communities. In certain parts of North Wales, people’s life expectancy is eight years below the regional average, and they experience nearly twenty years less of healthy life expectancy. We don’t believe that’s fair, and we know we can’t fix it alone, but that won’t stop us from trying to do something about it. Imagine if everyone could afford a warm home and have enough good food to stay healthy. It might sound like a dream, but we’re not giving up on it. We believe we can make it happen for as many people as possible.

We want everyone in North Wales to have access to excellent quality housing, afford the food they need to stay healthy, live in a home they can afford to keep warm and live in a community where they can thrive.

We work with local residents to make a difference to communities.

When we build new homes, we aim to make them as energy efficient as possible.

  • 6,000+ Homes across North Wales
  • 7 Counties we operate within

There are loads of different jobs in social housing. From carers, cooks, property development and IT to communications, finance and much more!
