In April the doors were opened to new residents moving into Neuadd Maldwyn, a new independent living scheme for older people, in Welshpool, Powys. The unique scheme has garnered so much interest, that ClwydAlyn, owner of Neuadd Maldwyn, has organised an open day, for local professionals and prospective residents to explore the facilities.
This week is Care Home Open week, an opportunity for families, friends and prospective residents to visit and experience care home settings, visit and ask questions about life in a care home. As part of Care Home Open Week (16-22 June), staff and residents at Chirk Court are celebrating their status as ‘most rated’ care home in the Wrexham area, with a 9.9 average according to over 90 independent reviews.
Welsh social homes provider ClwydAlyn has confirmed that contracts have been signed with Williams Homes (Bala), who will build 107-energy efficient, lifetime homes on the site of the Penrhos Polish Village in Pen Llŷn, Gwynedd.
Social homes provider ClwydAlyn, based in St Asaph in Denbighshire, has once again retained its ‘A’ Credit Rating with a stable outlook, as confirmed by leading multinational credit reference agency, S&P Global.
Stakeholders including Marj Cooper, Housing Strategy Manger at Flintshire County Council visited ClwydAlyn’s Northern Gateway development in Deeside last week. The visit was organised to celebrate the successful completion of 100 affordable, energy-efficient, new homes for local families.
Work has started on ClwydAlyn’s £6.5 million development which will provide 17 new homes, with affordable rent, for local families at Craig Y Don, Benllech.
Football Fever is Here. The community fundraising committee at St Asaph-based social homes provider ClwydAlyn is organising a 6-a-side football tournament, to raise money for St Kentigern Hospice.
